What's more important is the cool way Darius knows how to land a speeding boat on a bridge, then walk away in slow motion as it blows up behind him. Other great scenes include a tank battle on an aircraft carrier and a race with a bullet train that makes THE FRENCH CONNECTION look like a turtle race. There's some hilarious dialogue, such as when Darius recruits his old DC car-jacking buddies to ride into battle against the corrupt militia, leading to the 'first tank-jacking in history'. Scott Speedman plays a sympathetic Fed; Lola Jackson and Sunny Mabrey are the sexy chicks. There's lots of greal looking cars, cool gadgets, and pumpin' rap-crunk music. Director Lee Tamahori also helmed James Bond's DIE ANOTHER DAY and the 1997 thriller THE EDGE.

A new law in India which permits a widow to re-marry is not popular, and it is these customs and openly welcoming the lower castes that will pit Gandhiji against his very own people, apart from struggling with the British to leave India. Kalyani meets and falls in love with young Narayan, a follower of Mahatma Gandhi, who wants to marry her, despite his mother's protests. The movie goes in flash back, where Farhan, Raju and Rancho join the Imperial College of Engineering, a.k.a. ICE, a fictional Indian engineering institute (Which is actually based on the IIT's). It is shown that Rancho is an extraordinary student, or an Idiot, as labelled by the Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe (Virus) (Boman Irani), due to his intense interest in machines. Rancho becomes an important part of both his friends' lives, as he makes Farhan realize that his passion is photography, not engineering. He also helps Raju boost his self confidence, and helps him realize that Ramalingam (Silencer) just takes in the words, does not understand it. Other things include getting on ViruS's nerves, breaking up his younger daughter, Pia's (Kareena Kapoor)engagement to an overly price-conscious NRI (Suhas), saving Raju's father, helping Virus' elder daughter in her pregnancy, getting Virus to shave off his moustache on a bet that Raju will get a job through campus interview, helping both his friends clear their papers and falling in love with Pia. At the end of it all, Virus accepts Rancho as an exceptional student and gifts him his pen, reserved only for the best student.
